ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS ACQUIRES the U.S. distribution rights to THE WARRIOR QUEEN OF JHANSI FOR FALL 2019 RELEASe

 

The historical epic The Warrior Queen of Jhansi has partnered with Roadside Attractions for their U.S. distribution.

Roadside Co-Presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff in a joint statement said, “The Warrior Queen of Jhansi is an inspirational and powerful true story of a great leader who so clearly demands big screen treatment. With her first film, Swati Bhise has created a beautiful epic about an amazing 19th century woman who controlled her own destiny and changed the world, by rallying her people and leading an army against British Imperialism.  We're proud to work with Swati in bringing her relevant and fascinating film to U.S. audiences this fall.”

Roadside Attractions has released critical and commercial hits such as Manchester By The Sea, Ben Is Back, Beatriz At Dinner, Whitney, Stronger, Love & Friendship, Hello My Name Is Doris, Mr. Holmes, Love & Mercy, A Most Wanted Man, Dear White People, The Skeleton Twins, All Is Lost, Mud, Winter’s Bone, The Cove, Arbitrage, Margin Call and Super-Size Me.

 

The Warrior Queen Of Jhansi wins the Impact Award at VIWFF 2019!

The Warrior Queen of Jhansi (earlier known as Swords & Sceptres) has recently won the WIFTV Impact Award which recognizes a powerful film showcasing women’s impact on our world.  VIWFF said: “It is an award that recognizes a powerful film showcasing women’s impact on our world. The Warrior Queen of Jhansi reminds us that female empowerment isn’t a new phenomenon. It is in fact present throughout our history, led by women like the Queen of Jhansi, who is brought to life in this film with passion and style.
